The Lycoming EIS serves as a direct replacement for traditional magnetos, offering simple installation and effectively optimizing engine starting performance. Designed with a service life that matches the engine's Time Between Overhaul (TBO) interval, it eliminates the need for the periodic scheduled maintenance typically required for magnetos.

Lycoming continues to advance engine electronic control technology, dedicated to improving aviation operational safety, equipment durability, and power performance. The EIS features an all-solid-state design with no moving internal parts, fundamentally minimizing the need for scheduled maintenance.

Developed jointly by SureFly and Lycoming’s engineering team, the Lycoming EIS is manufactured in strict accordance with Lycoming’s rigorous technical specifications. The product is the result of over two years of development and extensive durability and reliability testing. As the only electronic ignition system on the market bearing Lycoming’s official certification mark, its performance has been fully validated through both ground and flight testing.
