All greases are basically composed of base oil, thickener (a substance that forms a stable semi-solid consistency) and additives to improve performance. By adjusting these three basic ingredients, different greases can be obtained for various applications. A typical grease contains about 80%-90% base oil, 10%-15% thickener and about 5%-10% additives.
AeroShell Grease 6 is a general purpose grease composed of mineral oil and clay thickeners that has a good combination of properties over a range of lubricating properties. It has oxidation and corrosion resistance, good water resistance and low noise performance. Operating temperature range: –40°C to +121°C (–40°F to +250°F).
AeroShell Grease 6 is suitable for anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and plain bearings.
