Garmin GIA 64 devices listed in the following links that were purchased or installed after February 2026 are affected.

Under certain circumstances, some GIA 64 devices may receive noisy audio when receiving high-power communication transmission signals.

This is most likely to occur when receiving high-power communication signals, for example:

• Ground transmission towers (within approximately 1900 feet)

• Other nearby aircraft transmitting communication signals (within approximately 150 feet)

This service bulletin contains guidance on returning affected products to Garmin for repair.

Modification of affected equipment is covered under the factory warranty. The equipment must be returned to Garmin for modification.

Labor costs for disassembling and reassembling the equipment are reimbursable based on the hours listed above, with a reimbursement deadline of October 30, 2026—after which these labor costs will no longer be reimbursed.

To ensure correct reimbursement when submitting a warranty claim, please include the following information:

• Indicate compliance with Garmin Service Notice 26043
• Serial number of the GIA 64 device

If a GIA 64 device is affected, contact Garmin for a Return Authorization (RMA).

Record an entry in the flight log indicating compliance with Garmin Service Notice 26043.
